This is a two-day conference for all the MAAP STARS students from around the state. It gives students an opportunity to demonstrate the artistic, career, and life skills they have developed. Students participate in a wide variety of competitive and demonstrative events that are done individually and/or in teams. It is the culminating year-end event that demonstrates the true meaning of STARS.

Mark your calendar! MAAP STARS Legislative Day returns on Wednesday, February 24, 2027 at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. Students and staff from MAAP programs and schools across the state spend the day meeting with their legislators and hearing from key legislative leaders. A general session covers the MAAP platform and the educational issues facing alternative programs, and students get the chance to share their own school experiences while seeing firsthand how state government works.

Start a positive year with the student leaders at your school! Bring five student leaders from your school for 24 hours of leadership training, with a healthy mix of team building activities and leadership training. Keynote speaker Khalique Rogers, Executive Director of Catalyst for Systems Change, plus motivational speaker Dr. Derek Greenfield. New MAAP STARS Officers for the 26/27 school year are elected at this conference.
