HAP Language Arts Teacher - 
Posting range  .25 - 1.0 FTE

Description:  Language Arts classroom teaching assignment at the high school level.
 
Qualifications:  Language Arts (5-12) license required. 
 
Also, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
-  interest and skill in working effectively with high school age students; 
- strength in the teaching of writing while also exhibiting a broad background in literature; 
- familiarity with current research in the teaching of writing and literature; 
-  skills in individualizing instruction; 
-   the ability to plan, set up, present, and evaluate instruction;
- the capability to collaborate with colleagues using common formative assessments; 
- a positive, constructive disciplinary approach; 
-  a familiarity with learning styles, including best practices in current instructional theories and methods; 
- the capacity to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; 
-  the knowledge and desire to meet social and growth needs for each student
