Mission:
The MAAP GRANT-WRITING TEAM (GWT) will assist the MAAP board, MAAP Regions and individual alternative programssecure grants that  advance their vision and missions.

Some areas needing assistance COULD include:

• Leadership skills
• Student success and stakeholder paricipation and  satisfaction
• Educator training and workplace satisfaction
• Telling the alternative education success story
• Mission oriented measurement, analysis, and knowledge management

Guidelines:

1. GWT members will commit to specifically assisting the Board,  Regions, and alternative programs in grant writing activities for a  two-year period.
2. Presented with an educational needs request, GWT members will act  in an aggressive manner to help programs identify grant  opportunities.
3. Grants that initiate or capitalize on continuing opportunities will take  precedence over “soft money only” opportunities, and grants that will  have statewide impact will take precedence over “local impact only”  grants.

The GWT is made up of 9 individuals from all over the state. It is important in our eyes to be represented by as many different regions as possible.
